Legionella

Legionella

Legionella is a bacteria common to areas of stagnant water such as water tanks. The attributed disease (legionnaire) has a damaging effect on the human body and has been highlighted amongst numerous government bodies for the important risk factors associated with the disease within properties. Infection occurs through taps and steam emitted from household appliances. Recent legislation has aimed at tackling this form of pneumonia, therefore it is now a legal requirement for those in control of high-risk properties to carry out a risk assessment report. Adequate measures are required to ensure inspections are carried out regularly (particularly when changes occur to bathroom suite fixtures, plumbing  and during long periods of vacancy). Our specialists will guide you through the entire risk assessment process ensuring all adequate checks and necessary changes are implemented.
